The C47 / C74 essential film tools.
Where did this name C47 come from? The most accepted and spread explanation is that a long time ago, in a certain studio, an executive producer trying to be efficient and economic constantly refused to spend a single cent with what he assumed to be unnecessary for the productions, such as wooden clothespins.

One day someone had the brilliant idea of simply replacing the name of the clothespins on the purchase request with the clothespins inventory code. Guess what was the code: C47. When the executive producer saw that code he didn’t know what was it, but he thought it should probably be something important and approved the request. The story spread around and the name was adopted and is used till these days.

If you invert the position of the wooden sticks it turns into a pair of wooden tweezers, aka C74, for you to use to take out the hot scrims from the fresnels.
